How Do We Know?

It has been so long since I last came to this site and by the looks of it, it's gotten very quiet. So, in true Bostonian nature, I intend (and always do) to stir things up a bit. So, the purpose of this topic is simple. How do we know? How do we know we aren't all crazy? How do we know that we dont't only see what we want to see? What proof have we that clearly says, "we're not crazy, just out of the ordinary." If there is anyone who believes in the extraordinary ability of the human brain it's me, but why do we have these "abilities" if that's what they even are and not the desperate thoughts of those who desire an unobtainable indaviduality? I do not mean to rain on anyone's parade, and call me whatever you wish but do not call me ignorrant. I am a child of science and explaination and it's hard for me to believe in the unexplainable. Don't be confused, I can find it in me to accept that it is unexplainable or whatever but I'd hate to wake up one day in the crazy house.
