Empathy has nothing to do with mind reading...
Difference between reading people's emotions with telepathy and empathy is that with tp you know what people feel, and with ep you feel what they feel...
Empathy is a psychic ability and doesn't have to be natural, but can also be developed... Many people develop empathy while practicing telepathy and otherwise...
I think empathy is done only by heart chakra while telepathy is done by crown and third-eye chakras, though that's only my theory, not 100% sure...

IF your feeling someone elses pain YES (ie cuts burns broken bones )
IF your feeling someone elses sexual sensations YES
this much only works with powerful telapaths

IF your feeling chest pain around someone with a broken heart YES
almost every one transmits chest pain from a broken heart (maybe a built in cry for help)
IF with out contact your feeling the emotions of someone else YES
a lot of people transmit there fear
this can be transited by non telapaths

being telepathic means you are never EVER alone

I am empath yes, but my point of view is this-empathy can be developed via chakra work, energy charging and I thing the empath has almost the same problems like the people he/she feels on emotional level mostly. My opinion. For witch charka is involved I no sure, maybe depends of people around you. You are broadcasting and receiving energy signals all the time from all chakras, but this is my opinion only-practice means.
