I am kind of comfused. Sometimes I can tell where people are, if they are aproaching me, how close they are to me, and what they are feeling. Is this some kind of telepathy? I was wondering because this happens all of the time.

It's the energetic field and aura as well as thoughts and emotions flying all over the place.  You pick up on em like a radio tuner picks up stuff.

That's called awarness...
You can practice it by meditating and then trying to feel other people... try with the room next to yours, over the neighbour's house,...
