I used to practice the meditation on the heart beat as a method for AP, but now I much prefer the meditation on the heart "space."  It takes me much deeper.  It was also pointed out to me that the heart space is different from the heart chakra in that the "space" is the ultimate destination or alignment point of the heart "chakra" where as the heart chakra is "what is" right now.  I'm using the "heart space" as an alignment tool for my psychic development and am finding that it is an incredible tool for shifting into the flow of opening my psychic senses to the max.  Kudos to Hieu Doan for this tip.  Just thought I'd share what I'm working with at the moment as the forum seems a bit slow at present.

I learned and I m developing a similar technique from Les Fehmi the man behind 'open focus', his open focus  technique is about focusing on the space, he has also a technique to focus on 'heart space' ...Open focus helps to naturally synchronize the hemisphere of the brain once I finish a Open focus session (about 45 min) I switch to Hieu Doan's Meditation mastery, open focus makes the Hieu Doan meditation more powerful and I found the concept from Doan similar to the ones from Fehmi.
These techniques go well together.
I noticed a higher numbers of 'lucky' synchronicity lately like for now, I need money, and this morning I got an unexpected check in the mailbox from people I barely remember.
In the same line when I have a question about some topic, I m very quickly attracted to a book or a documentary with the answer. In fact since I started to work with Hieu Doan material , everything seems to fall into place.
However, I do not have his Psychic Mastery course nor his Kundalini/soul development course. I will wait next year to jump into that, when I have solid foundation with the basic course.

Yeah I've noticed a increase in synchronicity too since using the Doan method.  I think its being connected to higher levels of consciousness, higher self etc.  A couple of months back I wanted a place to  stay in the mountains and out of the clear blue sky a friend of a friend asked me to house sit their place in the mountains for 2 weeks.  I was pretty astounded because this was a real long shot so I thought.  Thanks for the ref to Fes.  Open focus reminds me of Huna too, I remember them using the visual method where you de-focus and use peripheral vision which decreases stress.

In the Les fehmis tapes , he guides you with questions like:

Can you imagine the space between your eyes ?
....
Can you imagine the space between your thumb and middle finger ?

You go through the whole body by the time, you reach the last questions.
Can you imagine your past, present and future made of empty space ? ...Etc...

You are in the Open Focus state :

"A state of effortless awareness in which no one element of simultaneous experience is focused upon or weighted more heavily than any other part."

I'm sure if I keep at it in a few months open focus and the Hieu Doan tapes could bring some interesting results and new skills. I'm sure open focus mind state or similar is prerequite to develop a certain 360 degree sight either during OOBE or RV.

Yeah in Doan's system he seems to call the open focus state the "space" too and the way he uses it in psychic mastery is pretty good for RV.  The way he sees it, the space is "already there" so I don't need to "do" anything I just shift my mind into that space.  It's a lot easier to use the open focus/space than other techniques I've used which make my mind tense.  I think being able to hold the mind in that space without undue tension is a big bonus.

Just got it and I'm starting meditation mastery this week.  I've heard nothing but excellent reports about this thing including from people here so I'm pretty excited.   I'll write my reports after I've used it for a while.

That's the system that I practice too greenman.   Smiley  The best things are the very open feelings of love and connectedness with the universe, but I've also had some very interesting out of body experiences and lucid dreams.
